I found this tree while hiking in the Willamette National Forest. I fell in love with it immediately. The curling twisting roots were exposed and showing their interesting shape and character. Growing by that river, it had clung to those rocks through winter floods and summer heat. As humans we could learn a thing or two from nature. I guess the struggle through life really does make us more interesting.
