This piece was painted Plein Air at Crater Lake National Park. Fun fact, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States. The water is so blue and the trees here have so much character because of their struggle to survive in such a harsh climate. It was late afternoon when I painted this so the shadows ad interest and accentuate the evening light on the trees. This piece is painted in oils on smooth 12" by 12" masonite board. I would be happy to send you more photos at your request.
Giclee reproductions are available of this piece as well in other sizes.
